Creating a Moon Garden

As the sun sets a new world awaits you beneath the moon. Imagine a garden filled with silver and white plants that glow in the moonlight. Nocturnal landscapes offer lovely rewards among the soft shadows, soothing sounds and sweet scents.  A silvery border can light your way along a path or you can modify the white and silver collection to fit any container.

Choose a sunny spot for your moon garden.  Along a walkway or against a deck or driveway would all be good possibilities. Water can create the simplest magic in an evening garden. Even if you don't have a pond, you can add a container with aquatic plants floating in it.  Use your imagination and creativity!

Be sure that your soil is in good condition. If your soil is not perennial ready, improve it by adding a four to six inch layer of organic matter such as well-rotted manure, compost, peat moss, leaf mold or decomposed bark. This should be worked into the soil by digging, spading or rotary tilling to improve texture and drainage.

We have a collection of annuals, perennials and some shrubs to furnish abundant blooms for your evening garden all summer long.
